17-year-old in hospital following stabbing in Scarborough

Toronto police are investigating a stabbing in Scarborough that has left a 17-year-old boy injured.

Police said a call came in at 2:40 p.m. for a stabbing in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Midland Avenue.

When officers arrived, they located a male victim with serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital.

Police later said the victim’s injuries were deemed not life-threatening.

Meanwhile, officers are searching for an unknown number of suspects who fled on foot. No descriptions have been released.

The circumstances that led to the stabbing are not immediately known.
