There will no GO Transit service to or from some stations along the Lakeshore West line this weekend to accommodate “critical track work.”

Metrolinx says there will be no service to and from Appleby, Bronte, Port Credit, Long Branch, and Mimico GO stations. Service will also be suspended west from Exhibition Station.

The service suspension will begin on Saturday until the end of service on Sunday.

“Customers traveling to and from those stations are encouraged to use alternative local transit options like the TTC,” Metrolinx said in a news release.

Regularly scheduled service will run along the line between Niagara Falls and Aldershot.

The provincial transit agency said GO buses will replace trains at West Harbour, Aldershot, Burlington, Oakville, and Clarkson to take customers to Bramalea GO, connecting riders to eastbound service on the Kitchener line to Union Station.

The track work will help “bring faster, more frequent service across the network,” the news release read.

Regular GO train service will resume on Monday.
