An elderly woman has been critically injured in a fire in Etobicoke, Toronto police say.
Crews were called to a residential fire in the area of Martin Grove Road and Waterbury Drive, south of Highway 401, around 1:30 p.m.
Police say a woman in her 80s was rescued from the fire and was rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
The cause, origin, and circumstances of the fire are unknown.
