Toronto police investigating after a vehicle was reportedly shot at late Friday morning (CP24 traffic cam).

Toronto police briefly shut down a section of the westbound Gardiner Expressway late Friday morning after a vehicle was reportedly shot at.

Police responded just before 9:50 a.m. to the area of South Kingsway and the Gardiner, where callers reported that a vehicle had been fired upon while travelling on the highway.

Officers arrived to find evidence of gunfire. However, no injuries have been reported.

The westbound Gardiner was closed from Jameson Avenue to South Kingsway for the investigation.

In an update shortly before 11 a.m., officials said all westbound lanes have since reopened.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them as their investigation continues.
