Toronto police say they are investigating a homicide in the city’s Queen West neighbourhood.
In a post on social media, police say at 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning, officers located a deceased person inside a residence in the area of Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West.
The homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
Police tell CP24 the investigation is still in the early stages, and investigators are working on identifying the victim and notifying their next of kin before more information is shared.
Investigators do not believe there is a risk to public safety.
