Toronto police are investigating following two late night stabbings in the city.

The first stabbing happened just after 9:30 p.m. in the area of Spencer and Cowan avenues near King Street West.

Police said officers responded to reports of a male that had been stabbed, and found the male suffering stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and a suspect was arrested.

The second happened about an hour later, just before 10:30 p.m., in the York neighbourhood of Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue.

Officers once again responded to reports that a male had been stabbed and located a male suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said a male suspect fled the scene prior to their arrival. No suspect description is available and the investigation is ongoing.

Images from the scene appear to show that the stabbing happened on or near a TTC bus.
