Police are appealing to the public for help finding a 33-year-old elopee last seen in Toronto’s west end.

Toronto police said Dylan Sherief was last seen in the area of Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue at around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Sherief is currently bound by a Form 49 Warrant of Committal, which commits a person to the custody of a provincial psychiatric hospital and subjects them to abide by certain conditions.

He was found not criminally responsible for second-degree murder since he has a schizoaffective disorder, according to court filings from January last year.

Police describe Sherief as six-foot-two, weighing 215 pounds, with brown hair and a beard, as well as several face and neck tattoos.

They add that he was last seen wearing a black jacket with a hood, light brown pants and black shoes with white soles.

Officials urge the public to not approach him if found, but instead call 911 immediately.
