The Gardiner Expressway’s Jarvis Street exit is back open after a nine-car crash caused headaches for commuters in downtown Toronto Tuesday morning.

The Gardiner Expressway’s Jarvis Street exit is back open after a nine-car crash caused headaches for commuters in downtown Toronto Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the scene near Lake Shore Boulevard and Lower Jarvis Street at 8:40 a.m. Police said that the airbags on multiple vehicles deployed.

Toronto Paramedic Services told CTV News Toronto that as many as nine vehicles were involved. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash is unclear. Images from the scene showed multiple vehicles, including a dump truck, piled up near the exit.
