Stabbing in downtown Toronto sends man to hospital, another man arrested

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in downtown Toronto on Saturday afternoon that injured another man.

Toronto police say they initially got a call for an assault in the area of Yonge and College Streets shortly before 4:30 p.m.

Officers located a man in his 30s with stab wounds, police say. The victim was subsequently taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Toronto paramedics.

Police say officers arrested another man in his 30s shortly after.

The circumstances that led to the stabbing are unknown.
