A 90-year-old man who last seen in the city’s east end late Thursday night is still missing, and police and his family are growing increasingly concerned.
On Sunday evening, Duty Insp. Jon Rose said the senior, who is named Joseph, has not been located and the investigation remains “very much active.”
“We are putting all the resources possible into this situation. We are concerned for Joseph’s safety,” Rose said.
“It’s very cold, as you know, we have not been able to confirm whether or not he’s in his vehicle.”

Joseph was last seen on Jan. 30 at around 11:48 p.m. in the Leslieville area, near Coxwell Avenue and Gerrard Street East.
He is described as five-foot-five with white hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a beige coat, a red and black striped vest, blue jeans, and blue rubber walking shoes.

Police say Joseph may be driving a greyish-blue Toyota Corolla with Ontario licence plate DCKX933, but it still remains unclear whether he is currently on foot or in a vehicle.
“Due to the possibility that (he) may be on foot as well, we are asking people to keep an eye out and to check their property, any sheds or anywhere an elderly person may seek protection from the extreme cold,” Rose told reporters on Saturday afternoon.
“We still cannot confirm whether Joseph is on foot or in a vehicle. There is a possibility that he is driving a blue Toyota Corolla.”

‘Concern grows’
In an email, police told CP24 that their “concern grows” as Joseph has medical conditions that require specific medication that does not have with him.
“We are very much concerned for his safety. We’d very much like to get Joseph home to his family,” Rose said on Sunday night.
Toronto police are asking anyone with information, including video surveillance, to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
