A 40-year-old Toronto man is accused of making threats and anti-LGBTQ2S+ comments and kicking a victim’s dog in three incidents last year.

Toronto police say the alleged incidents happened between July 1 and Dec. 29, 2025.

The man also allegedly assaulted and harassed the victim.

As a result of an investigation, police arrested Kheiver Kayode Roberts. He has been charged with assault, uttering threats, criminal harassment and willfully causing unnecessary pain or suffering or injury to an animal.

Police say the alleged incidents are being investigated as a suspected hate-motivated offence.
