Woman and child injured following collision in Scarborough, police say

A woman and child were sent to the hospital following a collision in Scarborough, police say.

The collision occured at the intersection of Port Union Road and Sheppard Avenue East, shortly before 1:25 p.m. on Sunday.

Toronto police said the collision occured in the intersection and that both drivers stayed at the scene.

A woman and child sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result, police say. It is unclear if they are related or if they were both occupants of the same vehicle.
