One person has been taken to the hospital after being rescued from an apartment fire in Parkdale on Friday night.
Toronto Fire Services (TFS) says crews were called to a building in the area of Jameson Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West at around 8:45 p.m.
When crews arrived, they encountered a fire inside a unit on the sixth floor, TFS says.
Firefighters searched the unit and located one person.
Toronto paramedics told CP24 they transported the person to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
TFS says the main body of the fire has been knocked down.
The cause, origin and circumstances of the fire are unknown.
