Officials warned of “significant” delays on the Gardiner Expressway on Monday morning due to a water main break near the highway.
Multiple lanes were blocked in each direction west of Park Lawn Road for several hours due to a broken water main that appears to be under or close to the highway.
As of 9 a.m., only one westbound lane was still blocked due to the incident.

Water could be seen in multiple locations along the highway on Monday morning and cold temperatures exacerbated the issue, officials said.
Police, firefighters, Toronto Water, and road crews remain on scene as workers try to repair the roadway.
‘A very, very slow drive’

Images captured from Chopper 24 showed a massive backlog of traffic in the eastbound lanes of the highway.
CP24 Traffic Specialist Lisa Morales said commuters should consider alternate routes like Lake Shore Boulevard and The Queensway.
“It is not looking pretty... The drive into the downtown core, it is not looking great,” she said.
“South 427 was jammed from Dundas on to the eastbound Gardiner... It is a very, very slow drive into downtown.”
