Toronto police are investigating after a man was stabbed downtown.

In a post on social media, police say the male victim was located in the area of Sherbourne and Shuter streets, just before 6:30 p.m.

He was taken to hospital by paramedics and was conscious and breathing, police told CTV News Toronto.

EMS confirmed that the adult male had serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the suspect was located and arrested.
