North Bay police arrest Etobicoke woman, 24, on outstanding warrants. A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of thousands in fentanyl and Percocet.
A woman from the Greater Toronto Area is facing drug trafficking charges after North Bay police say they seized more than $23,000 worth of fentanyl and Percocet pills in the city’s downtown core.
Officers located the accused at about 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 24.
The woman was taken into custody without incident. A subsequent search led to the discovery of a quantity of fentanyl believed to be intended for the purpose of trafficking, along with pills.

The police force said it estimates the total street value for of the illicit drugs seized at more than $23,000.
“Our street crime unit continues to do outstanding work targeting the flow of illicit drugs into North Bay,” said Insp. Scott McFarlane.

The accused, a 24-year-old woman from Etobicoke, has been charged with drug possession and drug trafficking.
“We are continually seeing supply originate from the Greater Toronto Area, and in this case, officers were able to locate a wanted individual and seize drugs that were intended for distribution in our community,” said McFarlane.
