Toronto will see a significant swing in the temperature over the next few days as the city bounces between mild and frigid conditions.
Environment Canada says the city will feel like -7 this morning but the daytime high is expected to climb to 6 C today.
“Friday will be a treat for many with a mix of sun and clouds and much milder temps. Saturday will be relatively comfortable to start with some limited sunshine. But, prepare for gusty winds and a big cool down by day’s end,” CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter said.
A more seasonable daytime high of 0 C is in the forecast on Saturday but the temperature is expected to drop to -6 C in the afternoon, feeling closer to -12 with the wind chill.
“Cold air blasts back in on Sunday and hangs around for Monday,” Coulter said.
A chilly daytime high of -5 C is expected on both Sunday and Monday before warmer air arrives on Tuesday.
The national weather agency says Toronto will see a high of 1 C on Tuesday, 5 C on Wednesday, and 5 C on Thursday.
“We’ll get back to normal and above for Tuesday and Wednesday with bright skies,” Coulter said.
“There could be some messy weather returning though for the end of next week.”
