Durham police say that they are looking for at least one suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a dog at a residential property in Claremont back in November.
Police say that the suspect entered a kennel located on a residential property near Sideline 20 and 8th Concession Road sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 and 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 14.
Police allege that the suspect or suspects “used a firearm to harm a dog” and the dog was later located deceased by its owner.
Police say that they are looking to speak with anyone with cellphone, dash cam or surveillance footage from the area as part of the ongoing investigation.
It is not immediately clear why police are only publicizing details of the incident four months after it occurred.
