Guelph Police have arrested a 22-year-old man who allegedly lured three girls to Toronto for sex.
A stranger contacted the teens, who were 13 and 14 years old, through the Snapchat app.
Police said the girls went to the man’s home twice, where they engaged in sexual acts.
“On one of these occasions, the male provided payment to the youths for sexual services,” a media release said.
An investigation was launch by Guelph Police’s Human Trafficking Unit in December.
On March 3, a search warrant was carried out at the man’s home in Toronto.
The 22-year-old was arrested and charged with sexual interference, sexual assault, luring of a person under the age of 16, possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material, and communication for the purpose of obtaining sexual services from a person under the age of 18.
Officers also found “numerous” guns during the search of his home. As a result, he was also charged with various firearm offences.
