Regular service resumes on Eglinton Crosstown after car and LRT train collide

Regular service has resumed on a stretch of Line 5 (Eglinton Crosstown) that closed due to a collision between a car and an LRT vehicle.

The incident happened between Sloane and Pharmacy avenues, in an area where the trains share some of the road space with vehicles.

Shuttle buses operated in the affected area. Service resumed around 12:17 p.m.

The cause of the collision is unknown.

Toronto police are investigating, along with Crosslinx Transit Solutions, the maintainer of the line, the TTC said.
