Police are searching for a male suspect after a taxi driver was allegedly robbed at knife-point last Thursday.

The victim parked his taxi near Front Street and University Avenue to drop off a male passenger at around 7:30 p.m.

The man allegedly pulled out a knife and demanded the driver’s money, the suspect cut the driver and fled the scene, investigators said Monday.

The victim was brought to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Investigators released an image of the suspect, describing him as five-foot-eight in a dark jacket with cream coloured headphones and a black backpack.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
