Man charged after three family members stabbed at a North York home

A suspect has been arrested after an early morning stabbing that has left two women and a man hospitalized. CP24’s Courtney Heels has the latest.

A 26-year-old man has been charged after a stabbing at a home in North York early Thursday morning left three family members injured.

It happened at a home in the area of Glendora Avenue and Burnwell Street, near Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue, around 3:40 a.m.

When officers arrived, three adults were located with non-life-threatening injuries “as a result of a physical altercation involving a knife,” police said.

All three were taken to the hospital, where they remain in stable condition.

Police said the suspect fled the scene but was later located and arrested.

“The four involved persons are family members,” police said.

The suspect, who police are not identifying to protect the identities of the victims, has been charged with three counts of assault with a weapon and three counts of assault causing bodily harm.

Police said they are not looking for any additional suspects.
