A man has been arrested and charged after a woman was found dead inside a North York home earlier this month.
In a news release, Toronto police say officers responded on March 11 at approximately 1:32 p.m., to a call in the Threadneedle Crescent and Cresthaven Drive area.
Police say the victim was located deceased inside a residence, and the circumstances were deemed suspicious.
The victim has been identified as Xian Wei Shao, 60, of Toronto. Police say this marks Toronto’s fourth homicide of the year.
As a result, 60-year-old Sheng Long Wang of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder.
He is scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, earlier today at 10 a.m.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to come forward and contact police.
