Female pedestrian hit by driver of vehicle in Scarborough late Sunday morning

One pedestrian was sent to hospital with serious but non-critical injuries after a collision in Scarborough.

A woman in her 20s has been seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough late Sunday morning.

Toronto police say officers responded at around 11:01 a.m. to a collision in the Morningside Avenue and Coronation Drive area.

When they arrived they found a female pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.

The woman was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the driver remained at the scene and are warning other drivers to expect delays in the area.

The investigation is ongoing.
