Driver of security vehicle charged after collision involving parked car: Toronto police

A driver had to be freed by emergency crews following a single-vehicle rollover in Leslieville.

Toronto police say the driver of a security vehicle is facing charges after he allegedly struck a parked car and rolled over in the city’s east end.

It happened shortly before 3:20 a.m. in the area of Eastern and Berkshire avenues.

Police said the male driver struck the parked car and his vehicle then flipped on its side.

The driver was initially trapped but later freed by firefighters.

Only minor injuries were reported.

The man has now been charged with careless driving, police said.
