A man has been taken to a trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries, paramedics say, following a shooting in Toronto’s Moss Park area on Monday evening.
Toronto police say they were called to the area of Sherbourne and Shuter streets just before 7 p.m. for reports of a shooting inside an apartment building.
There, officers found an adult male victim in a hallway with a gunshot wound to his chest and hand.
Investigators say he was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Police have not released suspect information.
Drivers should expect delays on Sherbourne between Shuter and Queen Street East due to the investigation.
Police are asking anyone with further information to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
