A fifth person wanted in connection with the murder of a Bolton man and two related attempted murders has been arrested and charged.

On Nov. 12, 2020, at around 6:30 p.m., York Regional Police said they were called to a shooting at a business on Steeles Avenue West in Vaughan. Following that incident, one individual was taken to hospital.

Just over two months later, on Jan. 18, 2021, at about 12:30 p.m., officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of another shooting at a residence on Harvest Moon Drive in Bolton.

Police said two people, including the victim from the aforementioned incident in Vaughan, were found inside the home with gunshot wounds. The second victim, 65-year-old Giovanni Costa of Bolton, was found dead at the scene.

Investigators previously said two young males wearing medical-style masks and dark clothing entered that dwelling and fired several shots at two occupants inside before fleeing in an older, black BMW 3-series sedan.
