2 men arrested at Toronto demonstration

Toronto police have made several arrests at a demonstration in the downtown core.

Police said at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, they arrested two men for assault and assault with a weapon at a demonstration at University Street and Queen Street West.

The demonstration, called Rally for Justice, started across the street from the U.S. Consulate.

Police didn’t provide additional details but said the investigation is ongoing and more information would be released as it becomes available.
