Toronto police investigating after pedestrian struck by van in East York

Toronto police are investigating after a man in his 50s was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in East York on Saturday evening.

Toronto police are investigating a collision in East York that left one man seriously injured.

Emergency crews were called to Barrington Avenue just north of Secord Avenue at around 5:24 p.m. Saturday, with reports of a vehicle accident.

Police say a van struck a male pedestrian in his 50s.

Toronto Paramedics say they transported him to a trauma centre with serious non-life-threatening injuries. The driver remained on the scene.

Police say they are still investigating and no charges have been laid at this time.
