A woman in her 20s has been sent to the hospital following an early morning stabbing at a home in Toronto’s west end, police say.
Toronto police say they received a call about an altercation at a residence located in the area of Ossington Avenue and Harbord Street just before 6:10 a.m.
“The woman has non-life-threatening injuries consistent with being slashed with an edged weapon,” officials wrote in an update on social media.
Police say a man in his 50s has been arrested. He was also rushed to the hospital, police say.
Paramedics tell CP24 that a second person was taken to the hospital for a separate medical issue, in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this time.
Police also did not disclose the relationship, if any, between the man and woman.
Officers are currently on scene.
