Toronto police say an impaired driver was arrested after he alleged crashed his vehicle into a light post near Sherway Gardens mall and fled the scene.
The crash happened near Sherway Gardens Road and Sherway Gate shortly before 1 a.m.
According to police, the vehicle struck a light post, which fell to the ground.
The driver of the vehicle, police say, fled the area on foot but he was located nearby.
He was arrested and now faces impaired driving charges, police said.
