Torontonians may have to clear off their cars as they head to work this morning after a blast of winter weather overnight.
“April showers may bring May flowers but those showers often arrive at the leading edge of wildly different air masses and can signal big swings in temperature,” CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter said Tuesday.
“Prepare yourself this week for a rollercoaster rise in temperature with variable sky conditions and some gusty winds.”
Toronto will see a high of 2 C today with a risk of flurries this morning.
Coulter said sunshine will “return in full force” by this afternoon.
Wednesday will be sunny with a seasonably cool daytime high of 7 C.
Showers and gusty winds are in the forecast on Thursday but the temperature is expected to soar to 16 C.
“That warmup will be short lived,” Coulter said.
“Temperatures cool back below seasonable for Friday under scattered showers and light winds.”
A high of just 8 C is expected on Friday before warming up to 12 C on Saturday and 15 C on Sunday.
