Woman charged with impaired driving after 2-vehicle crash in Mississauga

A woman is facing impaired charges following a two-vehicle crash that sent four people to hospital in Mississauga.

Four people have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Mississauga early Saturday morning.

The collision happened at around 1:40 a.m. in the Glen Erin Drive and Aquitaine Avenue area, Peel police said an email to CP24.

Police say the crash involved a red Ford Explorer SUV and a black Volkswagen sedan, each carrying two people.

All four individuals were transported to hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious, though none are considered life-threatening.

Paramedics say two of the victims were initially listed in critical condition.

The driver of the Volkswagen, an adult woman, was arrested and charged with impaired operation.

Roads in the area were reopened by 8 a.m., but officials note the investigation is ongoing.
