An elderly woman has been critically injured after being struck by the driver of a vehicle in Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood.
The collision happened on Sunday evening on Prince Arthur Avenue, which is just west of Avenue Road and north of Bloor Street West.
Toronto police say they were called to that area at 7:30 pm after receiving reports that an 80-year-old female pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. They said she was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The motorist remained on scene, police said.
Currently, westbound Prince Arthur is closed due to the investigation.
