CP24’s Courtney Heels is on the scene after a sports car collided with the exterior wall outside of Casa Loma.

Two adults were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision involving a high-end vehicle near Casa Loma overnight.

Police said the driver of a McLaren crashed into a light pole and bike rack near the historic castle, in the area of Spadina Road and Austin Terrace, at around midnight before coming to rest on a stone wall.

Police said two people were taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

One person was also arrested for impaired driving, police said.

A family friend of the driver told CP24’s Steve Ryan that the car is a 2018 model valued at approximately $200,000.

Crews are on scene repairing some of the damage from the collision, including damage done to a Toronto BikeShare rack.
