Toronto police are asking the public for help locating a man who allegedly broke into two businesses on the Danforth last week.

In a news release issued Friday, police said officers responded to a call for a break-and-enter near Danforth and Logan avenues on April 15 at 2:19 a.m.

They allege that the suspect damaged the front door of a business and entered. He allegedly attempted to steal property from the establishment, they said.

Days later, on April 18, the suspect allegedly used an object to break into a convenience store in the same area. Once inside, he allegedly “ransacked” the store and stole property.

Police have identified the suspect as 55-year-old Toronto resident Peter Maroulis. He’s wanted on two counts of break-and-enter and breach of probation.

He’s described by police as five-foot-nine, with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a baseball hat and dark clothing.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incidents to contact them at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
