A man is dead after a late-night shooting in Toronto’s west-end Friday night.
In a post to social media, officials say the incident happened in the Scarlettwood Road and Scarlettwood Court area shortly after 10 p.m.
When officers arrived, they say they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police say “life-saving measures were performed,” and that the man was rushed to hospital via emergency run with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

No suspect description has been provided at this time but officials note the investigation is ongoing.
Homicide investigators have now taken over the case.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward and contact police.
