Two people were treated for possible smoke inhalation after a fire at an Etobicoke home early Monday morning.
The blaze broke out at a residence on The East Mall near Dundas Street West at around 12:20 a.m.
Toronto Fire says that crews encountered heavy smoke upon arrival but were able to locate and extinguish the flames before the fire spread.
Two occupants of the home were ultimately transferred into the care of paramedics with possible smoke inhalation, Toronto Fire said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
