An adult has been taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries following a shooting in North York, paramedics say.

The incident happened in the area of Grandravine Drive and Derrydown Road, which is near Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue West.

Toronto police said they were called to that area at 9:40 p.m. for reports of a shooting outdoors.

There, officers found a man in his 30s who had been shot.

Currently, Grandravine is closed at Keele.

The investigation is ongoing.
