Commuters using the Richmond Hill GO line faced “significant delays” after a person was struck by a train on Tuesday afternoon.

A police investigation into the incident that occurred south of Oriole GO Station resulted in no trains moving through the area for several hours.

The Richmond Hill line experienced delays of up to 50 minutes, Metrolinx said.

Shortly before 8 p.m., the investigation concluded.

“We thank our customers for their patience during this evening’s service disruption,” Metrolinx said.
