Westbound Highway 401 in Oshawa has reopened following a lengthy closure on Tuesday caused by a multi-vehicle collision involving a commercial truck that resulted in a diesel spill.
It happened near Harmony Road at around 9:10 a.m.
Ontario Provincial Police say three vehicles were involved and that one driver sustained minor injuries.
The truck spilled diesel across all westbound lanes, and a full cleanup was required, says the OPP.
Westbound Hwy. 401 was closed at Courtice Road for several hours for the cleanup. It reopened shortly after 1 p.m.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
