Two westbound lanes on Hwy. 401 were closed near Milton for all of Friday morning following a series of collisions.

The lanes were closed at Regional Road 25 from early Friday morning until about noon.

The closure was put into place following multiple collisions and a heavy oil leak in the area, OPP say.

CP24 traffic specialist Adwoa Nsiah-Yeboah previously warned that drivers on the westbound Hwy. 401 would encounter “major issues” with only one left lane getting by.

The OPP says that no injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

Traffic is now moving in the area.
