McDonald’s drive-thru fight in Mississauga leaves man seriously injured: police

Police are looking for a suspect after a man was found seriously hurt following a fight in Mississauga near Lakeshore and Cawthra.

One person suffered serious injuries following an altercation at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Mississauga.

According to police, officers were called to the fast-food restaurant, located near Lakeshore and Cawthra roads, at around 12:40 a.m. for a medical call.

Police said officers located a man in his 20s suffering from signs of trauma. The victim was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.

“In the early stages of the investigation, officers have determined the victim was involved in a physical altercation with another man at a nearby bar, which continued into the McDonald’s area,” a spokesperson for Peel Regional Police said in an email to CP24.

“The other involved party fled prior to police arrival.”

Police were unable to provide a detailed suspect description.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed an altercation between two men to reach out to the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-453-3311, ext. 1233. Anonymous information can also be provided to Crime Stoppers.
