Man charged after gun, drugs seized in Toronto, Ajax raids: police

A man from Durham Region is facing 21 charges after guns, ammo, drugs, and cash were seized following the execution of two search warrants in Toronto and Ajax.

Toronto police say the raids happened on April 29, just before 5:30 p.m., and were conducted by officers from their Integrated Gun and Gangs Task Force.

As a result, five handguns and a quantity of ammunition as well as a quantity of cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, heroin, and oxycontin, and Canadian currency, precious metals, and jewelry were allegedly located and seized.

Musa David, 47, of Ajax, was arrested and charged with possession of a loaded firearm, possession of an unloaded firearm ammunition readily accessible, possession of a firearm with serial Number Defaced, knowingly Manufacture/Transfer Firearm, knowingly Manufacture/Transfer Ammunition, possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, sale of Unpackaged, Unstamped Tobacco, possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000, and possess Firearm while Prohibited.

The charges have not been tested in court.

He was scheduled to appear in bail court on April 30.
