NCAA football is coming to BMO Field next summer.

The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced that the Syracuse Orange and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will kickoff their respective seasons in Toronto on either Aug. 28 or Aug. 29, 2027, with the timing of the nationally televised game to be finalized at a later date.

Toronto briefly hosted a NCAA bowl game known as the International Bowl at Rogers Centre between 2007 and 2010, though this will mark the first U.S. college football game ever played at BMO Field.

“We are thrilled to bring ACC football to an international stage in Toronto,” ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips said in a news release. “This conference game represents an exciting opportunity to showcase our student-athletes and our member institutions, as well as put on full display the energy of college football to a new and diverse audience.”

The NCAA game will coincide with the Canadian National Exhibition, which begins on Aug. 21 and wraps up on Sept. 7.

The ACC says that it will be the first time that two American universities will open their season in Canada.
