TTC riders heading home faced delays on Thursday as a portion of Line 2 was shut down during the afternoon and evening rush hours.

Just after 5 p.m., the TTC stopped subway service on Line 2 between Jane and Ossington stations due to an injury on track level at Dundas West Station.

Toronto police confirmed there was an ongoing investigation at track level and said there was no risk to public safety.

Shuttle buses ran between the affected stations during the subway closure.

Regular service resumed around 8:15 p.m.
