FIFA World Cup opening ceremony lineup announced. Here’s who’s performing in Toronto.

Canada will host a star-studded opening ceremony in the lead-up to the first FIFA World Cup game on home soil in Toronto next month.

FIFA revealed on Friday the lineup of performers at Toronto Stadium on June 12.

They include Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez and Michael Bublé.

FIFA said the opening ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m., 90 minutes before Canada takes on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Elyanna, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream, and William Prince are also set to perform.

“The opening ceremony in Toronto will be a powerful reflection of Canada’s identity and the energy surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a statement on Friday.

“Through music, culture and unforgettable performances, we will welcome the world with a celebration that is uniquely Canadian while also connected to a larger story unfolding across Mexico and the United States. It will be a moment of pride, unity and anticipation as Canada takes its place on football’s biggest stage.”

FIFA said fans will have an active role to play in the ceremony, so they should arrive early.

Gates are scheduled to open four hours before the match.

Co-hosts Mexico and the United States will also be hosting their respective opening ceremonies.

In Mexico, Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean and J Balvin will take the field at Mexico City Stadium on June 11.

Katy Perry, Future and Tyla are among the opening ceremony performers at Los Angeles Stadium on June 12.
