Pedestrian rushed to hospital following hit-and-run in Etobicoke

A female pedestrian has been rushed to the hospital following a hit-and-run in Etobicoke Saturday evening.

Toronto police say it happened near the intersection of Kipling and Horner Avenues shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Images from the scene show police tape surrounding a parking lot northwest of the intersection.

According to Toronto paramedics, the pedestrian was taken to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the driver of the vehicle did not remain at the scene.

No description of the vehicle has been released.
