A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle collision in Scarborough.
The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. in the vicinity of 250 Orton Park Road, near Ellesmere Road.
Toronto police said officers arrived and found a male with serious injuries.
Life-saving measures were performed but the motorcyclist, identified by them as a man in his 40s, died at the scene.
Paramedics told CTV News Toronto that they assessed an adult patient, but did not transport anyone to the hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision remained on scene and was uninjured.

Speaking with the media on Sunday night, Insp. Jeff Allington said initial information received by police is that the operators of both vehicles were heading northbound when they “made contact,” causing the motorcyclist to lose control and crash into a tree.
Investigators are currently speaking with witnesses and gathering information to determined what caused this collision.
“Residents can expect a large police presence in the area for the next several hours while police continue their investigation,” he said.

Orton Park Road remains closed in both directions between Slan Avenue and Ellesmere Road and police are asking drivers to use alternate routes.
This investigation is ongoing and anyone with further information, including dashcam footage or surveillance video, is asked to contact Toronto police at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
