Boy seriously injured in collision involving a SUV in Brampton

A boy has been seriously injured following a collision in Brampton, where an e-scooter and an SUV collided on Monday evening.

A boy riding an e-scooter was rushed to the hospital following a collision involving a SUV in Brampton on Monday evening.

The crash happened on Clyde Road, near Dencor Street, which is near Williams Parkway and James Potter Road.

Peel Regional Police said they were called to that area at 7:15 p.m. for reports of a collision involving a Honda SUV and a child on an e-bike.

Police say the boy is in stable condition.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Paramedics say they responded to a crash involving a car and an e-bike. They said a child on an e-bike is being taken to trauma centre with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.

An investigation to determine what occurred is now underway.
